Brief Overview

 

Sapie is Voice Operated Organizer created to simplify communication between a user and his or her Mobile Device. Majority of commands are voice operated, although Speereo ™ Software UK kept the option to duplicated all commands with stylus.

 

Sapie has of the following voice operated basic commands:

Sapie. Getting Started

 

 

ESTABLISHING DIALOG WITH SAPIE

 

Close all other programs you were working with.

Press and hold RECORD button, while speaking. Make sure you see a microphone icon on the bottom right corner.

She is a girl and needs some time to think and give you an answer, so allow Sapie up to one second to get ready for recording. Speak your usual way, no need to slow down. Also know, that Sapie is taught to understand certain common commands, which are set and limited. Make sure you tune your microphone volume up to about 80% of the maximum allowed position. This will let Sapie hear you better and serve you the most.

When you are just starting Sapie or at any other point of using it, you may assign any button to be a RECORD BUTTON.

To do this click on choose GENERAL and then SET UP BUTTONS.

Buttons 1-5 match the buttons on your PDA or Smartphone. This option is available so you would feel comfortable when operating Sapie.

Pick up the button from the list and choose action option.


If you are not sure which key is programmed to do what, select . Press on the button you want to use as the RECORD one and there you go.

Previously assigned functions of buttons during installation of Sapie are deactivated.

If you are lost just press: "RECORD" button and

Ask SAPIE: "WHAT CAN I SAY?"

Release "RECORD" button - she will give you a hint.

This reminder is active at pretty much all the screens. It provides many useful commands for you.

 

Sapie is your electronic secretary. As all human secretaries, she is there to remind you of your upcoming schedule, so record your Appointment, Meeting or Event at the time you wish to be reminded off. Actual time of the Appointment, Meeting or Event you may record in the Voice Format, which will be attached to the reminder. Practice shows that this is the most convenient way to organize yourself in business and private life!

 

Start up SAPIE

Go to Sapie program and open it up.

Choose one of the following:

REMIND ME; CREATE NEW APPOINTMENT; CREATE NEW EVENT; CREATE NEW MEETING; CREATE NEW CONTACT; CREATE NEW TASK or CREATE NEW E-MAIL.

These are the basic commands you need to memorize.

All the commands above you may find in the bottom left corner of your screen if you click on

So, wherever you are if you can see that icon, you may initiate basic commands. After you are done entering new information Sapie will take you to the upper level of program. This level allows you to see these tabs and to run basic commands from there as well.

Let's test Sapie on a simple example.

This will help you to begin actively use Sapie even today.

First, let us describe the unique option you may use for pretty much every type of scheduling you will ever need. Just make sure you are on the Appointment screen.

For an average person it does not matter much that there is a difference between appointment and meeting. Down the list we will describe you in details this difference, but now we want you to enjoy the fun part of Sapie. So, to save time on choosing between Appointment, Meeting, or Task just use REMIND ME command:

Press RECORD button and

Ask Sapie to: “REMIND ME?

Release the RECORD button

You will hear "GIVE ME A DATE" or something like this response. Sapie is trained not to irritate you with the same questions.

You will see this calendar on the screen.

 

Press "RECORD" button

Tell her the date. Here you can select commands "SET TODAY", "SET TOMORROW" or "ANOTHER DAY"

(on this one, please, see note #1 at the end of Appointment Section)

Thus, you do not even have to know what day is tomorrow.

Release the "RECORD" button


Sapie will ask you to give her the time.

 

Press “RECORD? button

Select appropriate time, for example, “FIVE AT NIGHT? or

“TEN FIFTEEN IN THE MORNING?,

or just say “IN THE AFTERNOON? (please, see note #2)

Release “RECORD? button


You will right away see this screen

Sapie will request for some comments you may want to have.

Sapie: "ANY COMMENTS?"

Press RECORD button. Waite a second and start recording

Release the "RECORD" button

Let us give you an example of what you may say to show the approximate length of recording, yours may be, of course, longer then the example. Note that in your comments there is no need to use a so-called SMS language or abbreviation.

You may say something like this: "I need to meet John Snow. He is a business partner of "ABC". It stands for "Active Business Company" - a company that developed a technology, in which our computer program may be just wonderful - it is a step up from what the World got used to deal with. Also, not to forget to tell him that by using our technology they may capture up to 20% of additional market. The offered idea is a new developing area of our other already existing business lines. So, it is just a new venue for us and we want to see if "ABC" wants to go along. This will be profitable to both us and them - simple increase in sales won't hurt anyone".

Please, be informed that if you use an old-fashioned Organizer, the time you have to spend on a text of this length is about 20-30 minutes. Voice Recording will require no more then couple of minutes - Sapie cares for you and lets you stay more focused on your business.

Also, press Enter to skip comment section or you may press “RECORD? button briefly to cancel command

All right, so you are all done!

Sapie will report to you: "O.K. I'LL REMIND YOU!" and take you back to the screen you were on before you started scheduling.

Sapie saves this as Appointment for you. If you like to view the recorded appointment, click on this icon in the upper right corner of the screen and she will take you to the complete day arrangement schedule.

 

This dark-red microphone indicates you have a voice message. To listen to it - just click on to. Sapie will play the message instantly and keep the dark-red color active to allow you to listen through it at any time later.

  1. CREATE NEW APPOINTMENT

Appointment - it is a short-term engagement, usually for couple of hours. It may be of a business or personal relation.

The fastest and most efficient way to set up a reminder for an appointment is to verbally enter date and time. Also you may dictate comments in order to better prepare yourself for the appointment. And that is all what Sapie will ask you to do! There is no need to perform any other manipulations as you may got used to do with your old Organizers - they were wasting your time more then saving it.

 

Recorded date and time is the actual time Sapie will give you a reminder of the upcoming appointment and everything you have entered in as comments will be played to you at the same time. So, basically you, living in TODAY, is referring to yourself, living in TOMORROW.

There is one more unique advantage in Sapie: you no longer have to limit yourself within the allowed length of recording– say all you think is necessary or you just feel like saying. This is way much easier then punching in the text with stylus! Option to enter a text reminder is a way to pay tribute to the tradition and disadvantage of RAM's system. With this unique technology, developed by Speereo ™ , voice files are so compressed that they require less memory then before! You no longer need to be careful with your PC's or Smartphone's memory volume.

 

Press "RECORD" button

Waite half a second, then say: "CREATE NEW APPOINTMENT"

Release the "RECORD" button

Then follow the same steps as described above in the "REMIND ME" command.

 

After you enter comments Sapie will offer you to select appointment type you wish to attend to. She will ask you: "CHOOSE THE TYPE OF APPOINTMENT". We colleted different types of possible appointments, the list is long and you may want to read it through first.

 

Scroll down to the desired option for the appointment, highlight it, then:

 

Press "RECORD" button

Say the name, for example: "Lunch with" or "Business meeting"

Release "RECORD" button

Select the type for the Appointment and tell Sapie to “Save? or go up or down with the Hardware Keys and press Enter.

Sapie will mark your Appointment as “Lunch with?, if you chose that option.

This is how it will look on the screen if you go to the Calendar view. (Please, reference to REMIND ME command above)

 

Notice on the screen a microphone button . When it is in dark color that means you have some comments in voice recorded format.

Note 1. Day Selection

You may also exercise these commands:

 

THIS MONDAY-THIS SUNDAY;

NEXT MONDAY-NEXT SUNDAY;

AFTER NEXT MONDAY- AFTER NEXT SUNDAY.

If your appointment is due on the other day then TODAY or

TOMORROW, you may select "ANOTHER DAY" command.

Sapie will offer you a way to set your appointment for any DAY, MONTH

or YEAR.

Also, at this screen you may choose to schedule appointment at

By pressing on the RECORD button briefly you may indicate day, month and year. After that, please, confirm the date.

 

Press "RECORD" button

Say: "CONFIRM DAY"

Sapie will ask you for the time of your appointment and to record your message as on the example above.

 


Note #2 SET UP YOUR TIME

For your convenience we trained Sapie to remember when exactly you morning, day and evening starts!

 

Just go to: ? Calendar ? View and Hours and program her the way you prefer.

Note 3. EDIT

 

Select the appointment you need to enter corrections in.

 

 

Press "RECORD" button

Just say: "EDIT APPOINTMENT"

Release "RECORD" button


You may add, correct or leave as they were the following:

  • Start-End time
  • Notification
  • Occurrence
  • Status
  • Attendees and choose
  • Category Personal or Business

(this is extremely useful if you are a double agent or planning to spend time somewhere else but in the office)

 

Remember, everything with this symbol at the beginning of the line is a voice command.

Please, save corrections.


Note 4 HOW TO REVIEW RECORDED MESSAGERS

Please, go to the Calendar.

 

Select the Date.

Open it up.

 


Choose one of the meetings or appointments you want to review.

If you see this dark microphone button this means you have a message. If you do not see this icon, then there is no voice message recorded. To listen through it scroll onto the selected item and press the icon or enter.

 

You may listen through all the messages with the dark microphone icon at the end of the line anywhere in Sapie.

 


To check up your scheduled activities for any other day, just select the day and follow instructions above.

Every morning when you turn on you PPC Sapie will give you a REMINDER. Have a look at the picture. You may click on DSMISS ALL, DISMISS or SNOOZE. Also, Sapie will read you the first line, if you have a voice message recorded there. To listen to all others just click on the dark microphone button .

 

CREATE NEW EVENT

 

Allow us to remind you what stands for event. EVENT is an all day engagement, so you may not pay attention for anything else in your life but the event itself. No one doubts that you knew that; just it is nice to have your memory kicked up a little. You also may use to CREATE NEW EVENT option if you only have a certain day to complete something at any hour of the day (say, to pick up a frame for a picture at a store). This is very convenient and easy just to record in Comments section "Store works till 8 p.m. picture size is 8 X 12" . So, you can save yourself time by not figuring out when exactly during the day it will be more convenient to go to a store and weather it will work out with the rest of your schedule.

Here, again press "RECORD" button

Tell Sapie to: "CREATE NEW EVENT"

Release "RECORD" button

She will talk back to you: "INPUT THE DATE OF NEW EVENT"

Tell her the date

Release "RECORD" button


You will hear right away: "ANY COMMENTS?"

 

Press "RECORD" button

Tell her all the necessary information you will need to be reminded of before the event. Be aware, Sapie has a good memory to remember everything:

Just to please you, we put on the screen a reminder so you would visually see, if you want, when the even will take place and that it would occupy you for the whole day.

Sapie wants to be a good secretary to you, so she will ask:

"WHAT EVENT SHOULD I REMIND YOU OF?"

Please, choose and say one type out of a long list

Release "RECORD" button

 


This is how a reminder will look on the screen when you turn on Sapie.

 

3. Next very useful command is CREATE NEW MEETING

From any screen press your favorite "RECORD" button
In a second, say basic command "CREATE NEW MEETING"
Release "RECORD" button

You will hear friendly voice: "WHO WILL ATTENTD?"

Choose people out of the contact list

 

Just scroll through the list by pressing on the lower part of the button on your PPC and put a mark by pressing on the right-side of the button in front of the person's name

Press to go to the next screen.

You will definitely want to enter the date.

Sapie will not let you to forget it:"GIVE ME THE DATE"

she will ask.

Press "RECORD" button

Say the date, remember it may be something like "NEXT FRIDAY"

Sapie goes: "WHEN?", meaning the time of the coming meeting.

Press "RECORD" button

Indicate the time, for example:"ELEVEN IN THE MORNIG"

;or "FOUR FOURTY FIVE IN THE EVENING"

Sapie will request to: "ADD SPECIAL NOTES"

Dictate your notes as long as you need

Sapie wants to be a good secretary to you, so she will ask:

"WHAT EVENT SHOULD I REMIND YOU OF?"

 

Press "RECORD" button

Please, choose and say one type out of a long list

Release "RECORD" button

 


) Next, she wants to know "APPOINTMENT TYPE".

The list is quite long; you may want to scroll down the bar

before choosing

 

Press "RECORD" button

 

Select appropriate type "BUSINESS MEETING" or

"DINNER WITH", or select any other

Release "RECORD" button

 

Press "RECORD" button

Tell Sapie to: "SAVE"

Release "RECORD" button

That is all that will take you to create as many meetings for a day as you desire.

 

3. CREATE NEW CONTACT

Life on-the-go is stressful. You see a lot of people, many faces, too much information to keep in your own head. Meeting new people, say at a conference, is wonderful. It is even more exciting to strike them by the fact that you remember all of them the next day! And this is why you have Sapie.

Sure, you may have an unforgettable collection of business cards after each day of a 5-days business convention! After which you will have an unforgettable pleasure spending hours in your room trying to figure out who, in the world, are they?! Or you may dictate all information with your personal comments from a business card to Sapie right on the spot and go to socialize in a bar.

When you are ready, press "RECORD" button, wait a second

Tell Sapie to: "CREATE NEW CONTACT"

Release "RECORD" button

 

Entering personal information has to be as fast and simple as it could possibly be. So, remember to each time press "RECORD" button, and after a second, answer the following requests:

INPUT LAST NAME

INPUT FIRST NAME

INPUT HOME PHONE

INPUT E-MAIL ADDRESS

INPUT COMPANY

INPUT JOB TITUL

Every time release the "RECORD" button when you are done to go to the next screen

Say: "SAVE CONTACT" after you have finished

 


So you are done for the day. You have met many people and recorded all the worthy ones fast and .

 

Your screen will look like this.

 


To avoid the situation when you see on the screen "Contact 1" or "Contact 2" you may manually enter the name of the contact, say Leila, at the very beginning of the CREATE NEW CONTACT, and then record the message as usual.

 


Here is an example for you on the screen.

This is the best way not to get lost in all the voice recorded contacts you have entered. You see the name of the Contact and all the information about the person is saved in the Voice Recorded file. When you need to listen through the files, just click on the dark microphone button.

 

In case you obtained new information about the already existing contact or some information needs to be updated you may always edit the recorded file.

Select the contact you choose to correct.

 

Press "RECORD" button

Say: "EDIT"

Release "RECORD" button

 


On this screen you may enter any corrections of any length, at any time between the recording sessions.

 

Notice, there are two types of microphone buttons here: this and this . They stand for: file is either empty (blank icon), or there is a recorded message (dark icon).

 

When you see this combination of microphones it indicates that Sapie is ready to work on corrections.

 

So, you may either voice record additional information about the contact or write down a text. To call the keyboard up on the screen, click on to keyboard button on the right bottom corner .

With the help of the on-screen keyboard transcribe recorded or additional information into a text format. All the voice comments will remain.

Click or press RECORD button and tell Sapie to SAVE CONTACT.

This is how it will be saved in your contact list.

 

At any time you may listen through the voice-recorded contact:

 

Manually SCROLL DOWN the bar on the bottom of your PPC or use a joystick.

Press "RECORD" button

Say: "OPEN CONTACT"

Release the "RECORD" button

Click on the button and enjoy

 

And later in a peaceful surrounding, when you have enough time to spend with Sapie, you may synchronize your PPC or your Smart Phone with your computer and transcribe voice recording file into text or have your real-life secretary do it for you.

Also, from here you can request Sapie to DIAL somebody. Just

 

Press "RECORD" button

Say: "DIAL PHONE NUMBER"

Release "RECORD" button

 

Bring your Pocket PC close to a phone and there you go.

 

4. Here is another helpful command for you CREAT NEW TASK

As you know we all have obligations in our life: something to start, continue or complete. Life goes forward without a break. To make it go smooth and pleasant for you we prepared this part of the Program. It will ask you for the very basic information you may need about a task. Later on you may go back and fine tune each particular task or add additional information.

Press "RECORD" button

Say: "CREATE NEW TASK"

Release "RECORD" button

)In the area with the blinking cursor you read just one task out of the list below. This icon on the screen shows that voice recognized commands are available.

 

Sapie will request to "DESCRIBE THE TASK"

 

Press "RECORD" button

Say: "BUSINESS TRIP" or any other of your choice

Release "RECORD" button

 

Here you have a choice to either save the task and go to the "Dictate comments"

 

To go to the next screen,

Press "RECORD" button

Tell her to: "SAVE TASK"

Release "RECORD" button

Or stay longer in this field and enter all the additional information regarding the task: Priority, Start/Due Date and other.

As soon as you tell Sapie to "Save task", she will take you right away to the "DICTATE COMMENTS" area.

We trained Sapie to go in this order so you will not waist time typing it step by step in each dedicated field - you can always lean back on a comfortable sofa and do it later. Your objective is to make quick notes and go to the next phase of a business day.

At the completion of CREATING NEW TASK Sapie will show you the list of all tasks . It will look like this.

 

For a very-very secret double agent, Sapie may track and separate business from personal tasks, as well as their active or completed status

Tell her to: "SHOW ACTIVE TASKS" or "SORT BY SUBJECT" or something else out of the list

Release "RECORD" button

Tell her: "WHAT CAN ISAY?" Release "RECORD" button

 

Have you ever thought that when you drive on a highway and see a billboard with a telephone number, it is not safe to grab a stylus and try to punch in all these little letters and numbers on the PPC or Smartphone? That you may miss an off ramp or not notice danger on the road, while your eyes are surfing (without much success, though) on the screen? Your stylus may slip through the fingers on the floor? Oh, so many things may happen! It is much faster, safer and fun to just tell Sapie some simple commands, something like: "CREATE NEW TASK" and start recording the number. Don't you think?

 


Note #1           HOW TO ADD ADDITIONAL VOICE COMMENTS

During a business rush time you may not remember all the information you need to enter as comments to a TASK. Sapie offers you a way to add voice notes at any time after the initial recording or after several times of corrections.

Select the task you need to update by scrolling onto it, and click twice

 

Press "RECORD" button

Tell Sapie to: "EDIT TASK"

Release "RECORD" button

 


Press "RECORD" button

Say: "DELITE" or "ADDITIONAL COMMENT"

Release "RECORD" button

In a situation you need to completely delete recorded voice file, use DELETE command. If you intend to add up some additional information to the already existing voice file - use command ADDITIONAL COMMENT. All new information will be saved right at the end of the previous sentence in the single file.

 

 

You will see cursor blinking in the COMMENTS FIELD.

Press "RECORD" button

Start saying your correction or additional information

Release "RECORD" button

 

After you are done, Press "RECORD" button

Tell Sapie: "SAVE"

Release "RECORD" button

 

And you are all set. You may come back later to add or change you voice message again.


5. CREATE NEW E-MAILS

Communication is an essential tool of our everyday life. We created Sapie the way to make your communication with the world fun.

As you got used to operate your stationary PC or Smartphone, we kept familiar structure for Sapie.

  • DRAFTS
  • SENT ITEMS
  • DELETED ITEMS

 

 

 

 

Sapie is here to offer you a very convenient way of communication

- sending voice messages via e-mail format. It is easy and fun.

One of the biggest advantages of this program is a way to forget about writing and correcting typing mistakes. You have other more important things in your life then these two. Also, opportunity to personally present the message in your own voice is an unforgettable way to maintain communication. Imagine, you want to express appreciation to you spouse for being there for you for the last 50 years, or just want to invite your friend to a dinner party:People appreciate personal interest in their lives!

To initiate e-mail service you need to go to the right field:

Press "RECORD" button

Tell her to: "CREATE NEW E-MAIL"

Release "RECORD" button

 


6.1. HOW TO SEND E-MAIL

You will be asked: «WHO DO YOU WANT TO SEND

THIS E-MAIL TO?"

 

You may select to send e-mail to either the latest person entered

(contact will be shown on the screen). Click on the person and the letter template will be created for you

or chose somebody out of the list, then

 

Press "RECORD" button

Say: "FIND CONTACT"

Release "RECORD" button

 

 

 

 

 


You will hear from Sapie: "I'M RECORDING YOU"

 

Press "RECORD" button

Dictate the message after a second

Release "RECORD" button

 

You will notice that microphone button changed color from

to . This is an indication for you that you have successfully recorded voice message.

As soon as you hear from Sapie: "MESSAGE IS GONE", you may go to OUTBOX file and verify. Click on and select

At the first synchronization of your PPC with PC you will

be able to send and receive mail via Microsoft Outlook

 

Message will be sent instantly during the next connection session when you use a Smart Phone (for details on this, please see you Smart Phone set ups)


6.2  HOW TO RECEIVE E-MAIL

Place your PPC into its cradle. Synchronize it with PC and download messages. All the messages will go to INBOX section. In regards to Smartphones, you will receive e-mails via WI-FI.

In INBOX you will be able to find the same messages which you received through your Microsoft Outlook


6.3 REPLY OR FORWARD E-MAIL

Scroll up or down to a message you wish to

reply on to or forward to and highlight it

 

Press "RECORD" button

Say: "REPLY E-MAIL" or "FORWARD E-MAIL"

Release "RECORD" button

 


Sapie is ready: "O.K. I AM RECORDING YOU"

 

Press "RECORD" button

Dictate your reply or a message

Release "RECORD" button


6.4 HOW TO DELETE E-MAIL

Choose the message you want to delete.

Highlight it by scrolling down the button on your PPC device.

Press "RECORD" button

Say to Sapie: "DELETE E-MAIL MESSAGE"

Release "RECORD" button

She will ask you to confirm your intentions: "REALLY?";

 

Press "RECORD" button

Say: "YES" or "NO"

Here are some extra features which Sapie offers to you:

YOU MAY SELECT MAIL BY FOLDER, SELECT BY SENDER, SUBJECT OR RECEIVED DATE

The principal of these commands is simple:

Press "RECORD" button

Say: ";;;SELECT BY FOLDER"

or "SELECT BY SENDER/SUBJECT/ RECEIVED DATE"

Release "RECORD" button

The screen will smoothly change to the requested window.

Leave in your PAST old routine of getting stylus in your hand, finding the right icon, pressing on the right part of the screen, waiting for the new window to appear, repeating this procedure to get to the right place: all that is wasting time and extra effort.

 

You need something easy and fast to operate on.

Sapie is you PRESENT.
