Here is a real life situation: you met a person at an exhibition and had a fruitful conversation. So, here you are with his business card in one hand and a Smartphone in the other. With your old organizer this is the end of the story - business card slips into your pocket right after the Smartphone. There is a simple explanation to it: you need two hands to enter in any text with a stylus. And do you have a third hand to hold his business card?
You can surely find a table and sit down. It will take you several minutes to enter first name, last name and a telephone number. To put down important details of the conversation, such as: what you agreed upon, your personal thoughts or steps to be taken in the future - forget about all this! It will take you immense amount of time and while entering so much text in on the tiny keyboard you will inevitably get frustrated and misspell something.
It is still middle of the day and hot time at the exhibition, you need to run to other important meetings. You simply have no time! So, you postpone this till the evening or the next day. When you finally get yourself together you can't remember half of the details! The other half of the information - the business card - is exactly no more, no less of what you opponent wants you to know (business is a game: the more you know the better you are). So here comes the question of the day: why to run into extra expenses to meet in person and create personal connection when you can have just the same info by talking over e-mails?
All these troubles - just get yourself a secretary. Dictate to her all you need right on the spot and do not think about the length of the text or spelling. And that's it! She will record every detail you have noticed and set all information in order. When you need it she will pull up the correct telephone number and all the comments related to this contact. Convenient, isn't it?

In general, Fred gives good impression and nice to talk with. Likes red wine, preferres Bordeaux. Need to invite over to our office and show the store."
It is this easy. Now you have all the basic information from business card and your personal comments recorded. You may wish to mark the time and see how long it will take you to record it. We counted about 57 seconds. It is even less time than what it will take you to go to a nearest snack bar, carrying a brief case. From aside, it looks like you are on a phone with somebody. Yes, later you will spend about 35-40 seconds to convert name and telephone number into text. Everything else you can keep in voice format and not to forget or loose any bit of a detail.
For fun, you may try to punch in all this dialogue with a stylus into your organizer and mark the time. It will be about 10 minutes if you enter complete words and do not use SMS language. And can you do it on-the-go with a brief case in one hand?
